Caring For Your Vanity
Here's the rewritten version for Luma bathroom vanities with Polytec surfaces:
Caring for Your Luma Vanity
We want you to get many years of enjoyment out of your new Luma bathroom vanity, so we've put together these important guidelines for keeping it looking its best.
Polytec Surfaces
Clean your vanity surfaces regularly. Splashes of water, soap, toothpaste, cosmetics or other bathroom products should be wiped away as soon as possible. Use a damp, soft cloth to remove dirt and residue — take care to ensure the cloth is free of any debris that could scratch the surface.
For cleaning, use only a mild solution of 2ml of gentle dishwashing liquid mixed with 5 litres of clean warm water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, bleach, commercial bathroom cleaners or harsh products such as 'CIF' — these may damage the Polytec finish and will not be covered by warranty.
Always dry your vanity surfaces after cleaning with water. Pay particular attention to joints and edges, and ensure no water has run into seams, as moisture penetration can cause swelling and damage over time.
Bathrooms are naturally high-moisture environments. Ensure your bathroom is well ventilated — constant and prolonged exposure to steam from showers and baths can cause damage, including delamination of the Polytec finish. Use exhaust fans during and after bathing to allow excess moisture to dissipate. Damage caused by prolonged steam exposure will not be covered by warranty.
Basins & Tapware
Your basin and mixer tap can be kept clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive sponges, scouring pads or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the basin surface and tap finish. For tapware in finishes such as matte black, brushed nickel or gunmetal, take extra care — these finishes may show marks more easily. Wipe dry after cleaning to prevent water spots and mineral build-up.
Handles & Hardware
Handles can be wiped down with a soft damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which may damage the finish. For brass, brushed nickel or matte black hardware, dry after cleaning to maintain the appearance and prevent water spotting.
